It’s spring in Utah and that means it’s the best time to enjoy this beautiful state. Most Utahan’s know all the amazing reasons why Utah is the best in the spring, so here’s a quick reminder of the top 5 reasons to go outside and enjoy the spring glory that Utah has to offer:

(1) So many activities!
How amazing is it to be able to ski/snowboard in the morning and golf in the afternoon? Spring also commences the start of cycling, mountain biking, and hiking season with so many fabulous spring hikes including the Living Room above Salt Lake City, to all the spring hikes opening up in Big and Little Cottonwood Canyon. Running season also is in full swing with nearby races happening every weekend!
(2) Desert Camping
As the weather warms up along the Wasatch Front, the Utah desert hits optimal temperature. Local Utahan’s know that spring is the perfect time to visit the desert before the influx of tourists take over. With 5 incredible national parks just hours away, it’s easy to plan a weekend getaway camping under the stars. From Canyonlands to Zion, there is no shortage of hiking, biking, fishing or canoeing.
(3) Farmers’ Markets & Food Trucks
Spring in Utah also means the beginning of amazing food. Although the food trucks are out and about year round, they really come together in the spring. For example; the food truck league in Sugarhouse has commenced a new Monday night tradition. The same food trucks can be found at the many amazing farmers’ markets including the famous, Park Silly Sunday Market.

(4) Patio Season
Who loves patio season? Utah does! It’s amazing to sit out on the patio and feel the sun while enjoying your favorite local restaurant. If you have a dog, even better, as Utah seems to be getting more and more puppy-patio friendly. Another area Utah seems to excel at is brunch. So wake up early on a Saturday and enjoy your favorite brunch, many which offer patio seating so you can get the best views of the mountains.
(5) Utah is Picture Perfect in the Spring
Between the green leaves making their appearance and snowcapped mountains in the back-drop, Utah becomes magnificent in the spring. It’s no wonder why spring is actually considered wedding season in Utah. It’s gorgeous! It truly feels like you are in a Disney fairytale as the flowers bloom throughout the neighborhoods. The tulips especially make a fantastic appearance which can be enjoyed at the Tulip Feastival at Thanksgiving Point.
So although the locals already know how jaw-dropping and energetic Utah is in the spring, you now can confirm 5 really great reasons… I’ll apologize now if this post causes friends and family to be knocking on your door for a spring visit. 😉
